No Songs Unsung, No Talent Unfound 🎶
Earlier this year, I was on a road trip with my partner, and he was trying to remember a song stuck in his head. He couldn’t recall the lyrics, accurately hum it, or even really describe it, so I had no idea where to even start in my search for it. Instead of giving up, I started asking questions: When did you first hear it? What songs does it remind you of? How does the song make you feel?Eventually, he remembered one line, and it jogged my own memory. Turns out, it was a song I’d saved to a playlist ten years ago (Pretty Pimpin’ by Kurt Vile).The fact that a song I had loved a decade ago was currently stuck in his head made us feel even closer to each other.
