Interesting reading - Thank you for that! 📚

I'm a bit curious about the mapping and rules function. If I understand correctly, if I set up a rule that applies to all my titles named "Infrastructure Consultant" (and perhaps something fancy after it, because someone has been creative in their wording), can I set it to be called simply "Infrastructure consultant" on LinkedIn if I have set a partial match? 🤔

Hey @JoannaMegan - I took a deeper dive into this job aid and it appears you can set the rule to Exact or Partial match (using keywords in the title). Using this, you can update the following job attributes: Standardized job title, Employment type, Skills or Job Function.

Is this what you are referring to?

Hi @Courtney - Community Manager

Yes, exactly! We have been having a discussion about whether or not to have the job titles be only the title of the job or to be a bit more creative. For example, we had a recent job posting where the title was "IT-Infrastruktukonsulent - få frihed og udvikling (næsten) uden grænser," roughly translated to "IT Infrastructure Consultant - experience freedom and development (almost) without limits." 🌍🚀 But it doesn't seem to fit well on the LinkedIn platform. Here, the title would have been better as "Infrastructure Consultant."

And I think we could resolve this discussion by setting up a rule (if I understand correctly) that all titles with "Infrastrukturkonsulent" or "Infrastructure consultant" (regardless of what follows) come out as "Infrastructure Consultant" on LinkedIn.💡

By leveraging the partial match and standardized job titles, we can ensure that the job titles on LinkedIn align with our desired format. This way, titles such as "Infrastrukturkonsulent" or "Infrastructure consultant" can be standardized as "Infrastructure Consultant" to optimize visibility and clarity. 🔁💼
