Nearly half of your peers in learning and talent development see a skills crisis. But the data illuminates a vital way forward: Career development accelerates every employee’s motivation to build future-facing skills.
What we found might surprise you:
- 36% of respondents had mature career development initiatives, qualifying them as "career development champions."
- These champions are leading on multiple fronts. They’re more likely than their peers to have a positive outlook on profitability, and they're more confident in their ability to attract and retain talent.
- Significantly, organizations with strong career development programs are more likely to be frontrunners in AI adoption; 51% describe their organization as “leading” or “accelerating” in AI adoption, compared to 36% of those with weaker career development programs.
