Our main goal with the Community is to see you grow as a professional and leader, recognize you for your milestones and achievements, and ultimately help you become a Certified Community Champion. Our user ranks were established to recognize you for your achievements while unlocking access to additional Community resources and exclusive perks. Below you can find all the user ranks, how you can level up, and the unique perks you can receive at certain ranks.

How Do Member Ranks Work?

An active and healthy Community relies on the contributions made by its members. Community members automatically increase their ranks based on their interactions. Your active participation will be reflected by your high user rank, which shows other Community members you are an engaged member and a trusted source they can reach out to.

Here are some of the activities that will earn you points:

  • Liking a piece of content. 👍

  • Receiving a like. 👍

  • Mentioning someone. @

  • Receiving comments on your post(s). 🗣️

  • Receiving a mention. @

  • Receiving an answer. ✅

  • Answering a question. ✅

  • Writing a post. ✍🏼

  • Writing a comment on a post. ✍🏼

  • Asking a question. ?

  • When your answer is marked as best. ✅

Activities are ranked from least value to higher value.

Where You Can Find Your Rank and Badges

You will need to visit your profile page within the Community to find your user ranks. Once you’re on your profile page, you’ll find your badges underneath your profile photo – see the example below.

You can also check your points on the Leaderboard. Your user leaderboard can be accessed from the Homepage by scrolling down to see it on the right side along with Upcoming Events and other resources.

You can also visit the full leaderboard page by clicking the link "Show full leaderboard" at the bottom. Here you will see where you rank in relation to the rest of the Community, as well as the top 5 Community members and their points.

@Courtney - Community Manager Will be great if we can run a certain recognition approach to the top contributors; like Contributor of the month, the quarter and also Contributor of the Year. and these should be recognized in public also and can be in specific event and will be great if we can provide Certificate which can be added to social media. Also we can have a competition with a certain reward (can be like attending a specific seminar or course), ...etc

I like the way you think @Wael Bakhaty! Do you have specific ideas about ways to contribute that you’d be interested in? We plan to highlight members in different ways - through spotlight posts, dedicated space in newsletters, etc.

Also, keep in mind you can keep watch the Leaderboard to see who is taking the lead through engagement activities (answering Questions, sharing a new post, replying). You can find the Leaderboard on the homepage, right side under Events. Example: (I have an unfair advantage right now 😉 )

spotlight posts, newsletters but also “Contributor of the Year” awards and certificates would be cool! I can see a collab with the LinkedIn Talent Connect conference - maybe in the future there could be some invitations or awards during Talent Connect for top Community contributors?

Love all those ideas @Najat Andreozzi

Perfect ideas! Love them all!

Looking for some clarification- is the Certified member an indication of engagement/activity rising to a certain level? Or is it accomplished through some kind of email verification to help identify the user is who they say they are/works where they say they work etc.?

Hey @Jeff Seidl - great question! The Member Ranks here in the Talent Community are based on your level of engagement/activity in the Community. For example, you earn points for taking actions such as ‘liking’ a post, answering a question, contributing an article - all different values based on the level of effort.

Ranks and badges are primarily a way to celebrate member helpfulness, collaboration & involvement in the Talent Community to help make it a valuable space for our customers to find the help you need.

*Not related to email or identify verification on LinkedIn.com.

Does that help?!

Totally makes sense- thank you so much for the detailed response! Wanted to make sure I was not missing a verification process- invaluable to show that you’re legit with the emergence of so many scams these days!

I like this idea as well!
