With some luck you will get a response!  Just don’t forget to check! You will want to respond back as quickly as you can. 😀

To be sure you don’t miss a response, make sure you are alerted.

There are two types of alerts:

  1. Push notifications in LinkedIn Recruiter
  2. Email notifications 

When turned on, the push notifications in Recruiter will appear as a red circle with a number in it above the ‘talk bubble’ (InMail) icon. The number indicates how many responses you have received since last time you checked.

Email notifications will be sent directly to the email address associated with your account when you can turn that on.

To enable notifications for InMail messages:

  1. Sign in to Recruiter.
  2. Click your profile picture at the top of your Recruiter homepage and select Product settings from the dropdown. 
  3. Click Notifications on the left pane.
  4. Under Message and InMail, click Edit next to the type of notification (email and push) you want to enable for incoming InMail messages.
  5. Select On to turn on the notification.
  6. Click Save.

Email notifications are sent to the email address associated with your Recruiter account. If you need to update the email address associated with your account, contact your contract admin to update it in LinkedIn Admin Center.
