Do you ever feel like you have a secret identity? By day, you’re sourcing top talent. By night (or probably in that same day), you’re the admin for your Recruiter license, working behind the scenes to set your team up for success.

With great admin permissions come great responsibilities! In addition to managing individual user access and permissions, your cape gives you the power to customize your Recruiter environment so it aligns to your organization's unique needs.

⭐️ One method of customization that comes up in our Recruiter Live sessions is that admins can creating custom pipeline stages that mirror their organization’s hiring process. Admins can create as many stages as they want. It can be very helpful to create stages that maybe are not aligned to your hiring process but give you a means to create a warm talent pool (e.g., for future consideration).

This is just one admin superpower, but there are so many more. I’d love to hear about them!

💬 Admins, what settings have you seen drive the biggest impact for your users? Users, what would you love your admins to set up for you? Drop your tips and ideas below so we can help each other unlock superpowers!

Do you serve as a Recruiter Admin at your organization?

@Maggie McQuade-LinkedIn  I really love this post! When I began using LinkedIn so many years ago I didn’t know I could create custom pipeline stages, so I was genuinely surprised and excited to learn that it's possible if you have Admin access. While the default stages in LinkedIn Recruiter are a great starting point, being able to customize them to match your unique recruiting workflow is really helpful!

As an "admin admirer," I'd add stages like Hiring Manager Interviewed, Silver Medalist, Reconnect, and Inbound candidate to keep candidates in different buckets based on my activity.

Love these ideas! You can also use “Silver Medalist” as a tag on candidate profiles and then create a filter for it in future searches💡 That way, you will only see candidate results that have that tag
