My name is Martin Freeman and I’m the Sr Talent Acquisition Sourcing Lead at Okta in APJ, based in Sydney, Australia. I have 20+ years in tech/non tech talent sourcing experience, working for corporates such as Cisco, Expedia, BlackBerry, Medallia & currently Okta. I have been in I/C, Player-coach & leadership roles. In my current role, I focus on proactively engaging and converting high-caliber talent for the APJ region. I leverage data to streamline hiring initiatives and build a global pipelining strategy. My approach integrates comprehensive support throughout the hiring process, from requisition opening to new hire onboarding, underpinned by a commitment to diversity and excellence in the workplace.

Outside of Okta, I've donated my time back to the community by helping other organisations improve their sourcing investment by running live sourcing enablement sessions for T.A. teams. I also developed a free website with a library of tools for teams to use, which has been circulated within the Global T.A. community through word of mouth. I've also appeared on several leading T.A. podcasts, talking about tools, challenges and sourcing best practices. I have been nominated by my industry peers for sourcing thought leadership (unsolicited by me).
