Hi everyone, I’m Peter based near Cambridge in the UK. I set up my boutique recruitment agency back in 2011 focusing on commercial roles in the laboratory instrumentation space. I had no previous recruitment experience other than as a client and a candidate, but I had been working internationally selling and marketing lab. instruments. You see the connection? 

At the beginning of this year I made the decision to stop contingent recruitment and now only do executive retained search. Plus, I’m starting to work more on mentoring and coaching teams with a view to increasing motivation and engagement in the workplace.

 My name is Oscar Chavez; I have 15 years of recruiting experience, primarily in human health. I transitioned into veterinary health during covid and have found my people!

My recruiting journey began like so many others, in the staffing world. I cut my my teeth on recruiting as an inexperienced kid who was looking for direction in his career. I was instantly hooked! I found my way out of the staffing world and took on corporate in-house recruiting next. I surrounded myself with mentors and colleague far more talented than me and became a sponge. I was eventually given the opportunity to lead recruiting teams and fell in love with mentorship and coaching aspect of leadership.
