I have educational background in psychology, philosophy of mind, and social sciences, as well as effective communication, conflict resolution. My professional background is in management consulting, coaching, and - no surprise there - talent search solutions. Where are you located? I’m working globally, because the challenge we’re facing is global. I’m based in what people call the California of UK, Bournemouth. 

What LinkedIn Talent Solutions products are you using? How long? I’m just starting to explore them. I’ve used Recruiter for a long time, and I’m aware of learning centre as a good resource, but I haven’t played with more tools here yet.

I recruit within the Timber & Building Materials sector here in the UK, on a National basis. Our client base is varied, from £40m t/o manufacturers, to multi-billion t/o importers and distributors. I work on all levels of roles from Sales & Business Development through to Group-Level Strategic / Corporate, and everything in between. 

I use LinkedIn alongside other tools to find passive candidates who fit the profile I am seeking, rather than simply looking for new job. It’s a “here is my problem” and a “here is the solution” scenario. 

Since my earlier days in recruitment (after the first few years), I have always insisted that I find career accelerating roles, for career minded people. Opening pathways and routes to higher achievement; a win-win for candidates and businesses alike, and a more fulfilling role for me.
