We have created a learning challenge (in pilot with smaller group) but I am wondering how do we collect metrics to put together a leader board? I went though the toolkit and created the customized emails, published the calendar on our various online sites, and so forth. But to drive engagement we want to have something weekly that shows how folks are doing. If you have done this, please share how you did it.

Good Afternoon,

We are in the process of setting up the same type of challenge and I was able to find a report you can pull from the system that shows employees training records. It can be found:

  1. Go in to the admin area
  2. Under the “Insight” drop down menu select “Reports”
  3. Select the report titled “Learner Summary”
  4. A pop up window comes up and you can change the time range you are looking for.
  5. Then select “Download”

This report can than be filtered to show “Course Completions”. We are also wanting to implement a 40 hour training challenge for the year. Anyone who completes 40 hours or more for the whole calendar year has their name put into a draw for a prize. This report can also pull information for that type of challenge based off the “Hours Viewed” column.

These reports can also be scheduled so you could set up a report to be sent to your inbox weekly.

Hope this helps :)

I will give that a try. I want to just report on the videos in the challenge only, not overall hours completed. I’ll pull the report and see what else I might be able to filter on.

Thank you.

@rajnisaund First, create a group under the challenge name. Then, develop the learning path and assign it to the group. Upload all the learners into this group (mass upload available). Afterward, you can easily monitor progress and conduct a comprehensive analysis. This will allow you to identify the top learners, whom you can recognize on a monthly basis. This recognition will positively impact both utilization and uptake.

Thank you for the advise. I have one more question for you the community. How do you handle the open reflective questions, like Pop quizzes on days where there is no link? Do you just use the honor system?

@rajnisaund I am using our LMS by creating a learning item in it and add all these into it including all other activities + quizzes / exams. Then we assign it to the employee; so it will be easy for the employee and us to track / monitor the progress.
